4-H INTER-COUNTY BEEF CALF CLUB SHOW
10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Future Farmers Showmanship	Herdsman's Competition

Rules and Regulations:
1. Exhibitors must be members of a 4-H Calf Club organized this year.
2. Entries must be received on a 4-H form by the Fair office 2 weeks prior to the show.  If form is not included with the book, please contact the Fair Office for a copy.  Not accepted after September 25th.
3. All entrants must exhibit this year's 4-H Calf Club calf. This will be checked for verification.  NO SUBSTITUTES.  A copy of the 4-H Project Animal Identification sheet will be required on show day.
4. All exhibits must be on the Grounds by 9:00 a.m., Sat. Oct. 11th, 2008.
5. Showing will commence at 10:00 a.m. SHARP. 
6. All entrants will receive a meal ticket for any outlet posting "Rockton Fair Food Vouchers Accepted".
7. The Rockton Agricultural Society will not be responsible for any loss, damage or accident to any person or property on the Grounds, however caused.
8. All health certificates and registration papers must be on hand.
9. Class Numbers must be picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Sat. Oct. 11th, inside the Agridome.

Section 51 - SHOWMANSHIP
     Judged on a group basis

Class 1 - Senior (18 - 21 years)
Class 2 - Intermediate (15 - 17 years)
Class 3 - Junior (10-14 years)
*All ages as of January 1, 2007

Prize Money: Group A - $50.00; Group B - $40.00; Group C - $30.00
1st place Showman in each class will receive a Rope Halter donated by Barry Hanes & Hanes Halters.


Section 52 - CONFORMATION
      Judged on a group basis

Class 1 - 2008 4-H Beef Project - Breeding Heifer Born in 2008
Class 2 - 2008 4-H Beef Project - Yearling Breeding Heifer
Class 3 - 2008 4-H Beef Project - Steer
Class 4 - 2008 4-H Beef Project - Yearling Market Heifer

Prize Money: Group A - $50.00; Group B - $40.00; Group C - $30.00


Section 52.1 - GROUP OF 4
Group of 4 4-H Club Calves.

Rules and Regulations:
1. Each calf must be a 4-H calf this year.
2. All four calves must be from the same club and entered under the Club name by the Club Leader.
3. One entry per Club.

Prize Money: 1st, $100.00; 2nd $75.00; 3rd, $50.00; 3rd, $40.00; all other $20.00.

Section 52.2 - FUTURE FARMERS SHOWMANSHIP

Open to boys and girls 9 years of age and under.
Two dollars to all participants plus a ribbon. Donated by Wentworth 4-H Beef Club.


SECTION 52.3 - 4-H BEEF
HERDSMAN'S COMPETITION

Open to any Club entering the 4-H Inter-County Beef Calf Club Show - Saturday October 11th.
Prize Money: $100 and Banner for the winning club.
Prizes for this class donated by Harold Hamilton, Dekalb Seeds & Monsanto Canada.
