General Rules
1. The Rules of the Rockton Agricultural Society shall prevail. Exhibitors
must pay an Exhibitor Fee of $9 to be sent with completed entry form to
Box 38, Rockton, LOR 1XO, not later than September 16th, 2006. Registered name
and number of goats to be on form.
2. 15% of Prize Money will be held back in lieu of entry fees. Late entries
will have 20% of Prize Money deducted. Premier Exhibitor points calculated as
per C.G.S. guidelines.
3. All animals must pass a mandatory Health check PRIOR TO UNLOADING. Animals
failing to pass the inspection or arriving late for the inspection
CANNOT BE
SHOWN.
4. Goats must not be removed from pens until 5:00 p.m.
5. Ages to be computed from the date of birth to the first day of Oct., 2008.
6. All animals shown in special classes must have been shown in their
regular class.
7. Vehicles transporting animals are to ENTER & EXIT through the 5th Conc.
Gate ONLY. Signage will be posted for this entrance, please refer to the
map on the back of the prize book. EXHIBITORS OF LIVESTOCK (CATTLE, HORSES,
SHEEP & GOATS) WILL RECEIVE 1 PASS FOR EXHIBITORS OF 1 ANIMAL, WILL
RECEIVE 2 PASSES FOR EXHIBITORS OF 2 TO 4 ANIMALS AND 3
PASSES FOR 5 OR MORE ANIMALS, IF PRE-REGISTERED ON TIME, IN ADDITION TO THE
VEHICLE AND DRIVER BEING ALLOWED IN FREE. All others must have a current
pass or ribbon or pay at the gate. (Preschoolers are the ONLY
exception)
8.Exhibitors of goats (4H exhibitors exempt) must
submit some form of written proof, from your insurance company showing
policy number and an expiry date after Thanksgiving Day and that you carry liability
insurance in the amount of at least $1,000,000.00 and that you are covered for
showing your animals at fairs or exhibitions. This proof must be
provided at the time of making your entries.
4-H exhibitors are covered already by their 4-H Association
and need not provide proof.

Rules
1. This Show is sanctioned by the Canadian Goat Society and C.G.S. rules will
govern.
2. Pre-Show Veterinary Inspection - 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
3. All goats must be in their pens in Barn #2 before 9:30 a.m. in order that
tattoos and registrations may be checked.
4. The maximum total eligible exhibits from a breeding unit is 10 .
5. There will be no pre-show milkout. However, the judge may call for a
milk-out at any time, in any class.
6. Exhibitors are requested to be neat and appropriately attired in white, or
white shirt & black pants when showing their animals in the ring.

Prize Money - Will be paid for Classes 1 to 5 for 1st to 6th place only:
1st, $25; 2nd, $20; 3rd, $15; 4th, $13; 5th, $10; 6th, $7.
For Classes 6 & 7 1st place only will be paid $25.

GOAT CLASSES
1. DOE KID - over 3 months and under 9 months.
2. DOE KID - over 9 months and under 24 months, never freshened.
3. MILKING YEARLING - over 12 months and under 24 months, in milk.
4. DOE - over 24 months and under 36 months, in milk.
5. DOE - over 36 months in milk
6. BEST UDDER CLASS - Judge shall designate the best two udders in each
of the milking classes. These designated exhibits shall compete for the first
and second best udder.
7. BREEDER'S HERD - a group of 4 animals (bred and owned by the
exhibitor) consisting of a least three milking Does.

BEST SAANEN HERD - four purebred Saanen Does, any age of which 3 or
more must be in milk, bred and owned by the exhibitor. Trophy donated by Mrs.

BEST ALPINE HERD - four purebred Does, any age, of which three must be
in milk. Bred and owned by the exhibitor. Trophy and Keeper donated by Paul
