KARAOKE PRELIMINARY CONTESTS

   Registration 6:00p.m.                       Event Starts 7:00p.m.

The Preliminary Karaoke Competitions will take place between 6p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10th and Saturday, Oct. 11th, 2008 in the D. A. Campbell Entertainment Centre. A panel of judges will select the top TEN solo performances who will then be eligible to compete on Thanksgiving Monday for the Karaoke Championship. 7th ANNUAL GRAND KARAOKE CHAMPIONSHIP

   The top ten winners from the Friday and Saturday night Karaoke contests will compete in a Grand Championship Karaoke Contest on the afternoon of Monday, October 13th, 2008. Prizes: $60; $50; $40; $30; $20; $10; $10; $10; $10; $10
Rules for Talent & Karaoke Contests:
   a. One song only per act, up to 5 minutes in length
   b. Contestants are encouraged to pre-register by calling Karen Hunt 519-647-3332 any time prior to the opening of the Fair on Thursday October 9, 2008. A $10.00 pre-registration fee will be charged and will be refunded to the entrants who compete.
   c. Registration for the Amateur Talent Contest will also be available at the Rockton Fair D.A. Campbell Entertainment Centre from 11:00a.m. on October 13, 2008.
   d. Each Amateur Talent Class is strictly limited to 10 contestants on a first-come, first-served basis.
   e. Contestants must confirm registration between 11:00 a.m. and 12 noon on October 13, 2008.
   f. Contestants may compete "up" one age category, if they choose to do so.
   g. Set-up time is limited to 2 minutes.
   h. Homemade CD will be allowed but they must not contain the main vocal track.
                         Piano and Sound System available.
