A: This year’s fair will feature non-perishable food donation stations in support of the Flamborough Food Bank with collection bins located at the Main Gate, Thompson Gate, Kernighan Gate and at the office. Cash donations will also be accepted at all collection stations for anyone wanting to support the Flamborough Food Bank financially.

As a way of saying thank-you, donors will be given their choice of either 1 free ride ticket, courtesy of D. A. Campbell Amusements, or a $3.00 coupon redeemable at our welcome tent to be used for the purchase of RAS apparel. We are very excited to be working with and supporting the Flam borough Food Bank this Thanksgiving season to assist those in need!

Our Gift of Fair tickets are beautifully crafted on rich burgundy card stock with gold or silver text and are paired with a burgundy embossed envelope. To make our tickets even more special, they are signed by a V.I.P. – our very own Rockton Fair President!

Adult tickets are $18 and include a $5 food voucher and youth tickets are $9 and include a $3 food voucher. They are valid for one day over the Fair Weekend.

A: Yes, we offer free service during the fair days – October 8th – 10th. HERE.
A: Visitors can contact our Welcome tent services while at the fair. These include: Patron info/direction; Volunteer Sign up; Future membership Sign up; Patron/Member Feedback; RAS Apparel Sales Patron questions about our fair, handing out brochures and much more! Tent hours are tentatively scheduled: Friday 6-9pm; Saturday 10am – 7pm; Sunday 10am – 7pm; Monday 10am -4pm.
A: To support continuing education, the Rockton Agricultural Society offers scholarships of up to $1500 to qualified students who are pursuing post-secondary studies or are in a provincially regulated trade. The program is administered by the Scholarship Committee on behalf of the RAS Board. Please download and read each of the forms listed below. Applications are due the last Thursday of May. A: Friday is our unlimited rides bracelet night, where you can ride the rides for only $30! A single coupon is $1.50, 20 coupons are $25.00, and 40 coupons are $40.00. You can also purchase advance ride tickets, offered through Campbell Amusements, by clicking HERE.
A: Wheelchair parking is available at the main entrance right off of Old Hwy 8 in the Village of Rockton as well as in the Kernighan Parking Lot off the 5th Concession. Our Farm and Home Hall has just been upgraded to include accessible doors and washrooms. We are actively working towards making all of our buildings fully accessible.
A: Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings, including the livestock barns, or the grandstands.

A: Dog/Pet Policy:
Pets are NOT allowed Entry to the Rockton Fairgrounds. Licensed Dog Guides & Service Animals are welcomed.
(identification from accredited service animal schools such as those listed at IGDF or ADI may be requested)

A: We do have a Parents and Tots room, attached to the D.A. Campbell Entertainment Centre. This room is a private area, away from the hustle and bustle of the fair, for new parents to care for their baby’s needs.

A: All exhibitors must pay a $10 Exhibitor Fee, unless:
1. You are retained from the previous year;
2. You are a paid up Associate Member of the RAS;
3. You are entering in Senior Citizen classes only;
4. You are entering in Certified Visually Challenged classes only;
5. You are a Junior Exhibitor entering Junior classes only; or
6. You are a 4-H member entering 4-H classes only. 4-H members are welcome to enter into one open class with their 4-H project without having to pay the Exhibitor Fee.

Please Note: For Senior Citizens, Certified Visually Challenged, and Junior Exhibitors, you must pay an Exhibitor Fee upon entering into an Open Class.

Please read the General Rules and Regulations as well as the rules specific to each section before entering.

A: When we say an exhibitor is “retained,” it means that in the previous year, they won more than $20 in prize money. When this happens, the RAS retains $10 for the following year’s Exhibitor Fee, and the exhibitor is sent an admission pass worth $15 with the new prize book. We do not retain juniors, exhibitors entering the senior sections, School Fair exhibitors, or 4-H members.
A: For specific entry and exhibit deadlines, please review the General Rules and Regulations as well as the rules specific to each section found in the prize book.


A: We give priority to returning vendors and the remaining vendor spots fill up fast. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor at the Rockton Fair, please send us an email early in the year with all your information – what you sell, your contact information, what type of vendor space you want (indoor, outdoor, craft), and any other information that you think we would want to see. We’ll then pass this information on to the appropriate chairperson, who will be in contact with you if they are interested in pursuing you as a vendor.

A: Someone is required to be at your booth at all times during fair hours. For craft vendors, vendor hours are as follows:
• Friday 4:30pm to 9:30pm
• Saturday 9am to 9:30pm
• Sunday 10am to 7:30pm
• Monday 9am to 5pm

A: If you are an indoor concessions vendor, set-up time is on the Thursday before the fair between 12pm and 9pm and the Friday of the Fair between 9am to 3pm. Foroutdoor vendors, set-up times are the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before the fair. For craft vendors, set-up is the Friday before the fair. Please Note: All concessions must be ready to open by the Friday of the fair at 4pm.
A: On average, we have around 50,000 people who visit the Rockton Fair each year.
A: For craft vendors, products must be hand produced by the vendor.


A: The Rockton Agricultural Society has over 55 committees and more than 700 volunteers. The continual success of the Rockton World’s Fair is largely attributable to our dedicated and hardworking group of volunteers, who give so willingly of their time, effort, and knowledge. A: The Rockton Agricultural Society has almost 700 Associates and Junior Associates. Prior to becoming Associate Members, these individuals volunteered for a committee for at least a year. After this time – and if the interest is still there – individuals are then nominated at our Annual General Meeting (held in January) by current Associate Members.
